[Winner] Moby Dick Challenge

Author Cathy Presland was kind enough to agree to judge the Moby Dick contest. Cathy is a wonderful white whalewriter, as well as instructor. She’s currently running a holiday special on her five Udemy courses – 5 for $5. Read all about it on her Facebook page.

As a reminder: The challenge was to write a new first line as a replacement to the iconic: Call me Ishmael. Thank you to the many wonderful entries both here and over on my Facebook page. Cathy chose the winning entry because it was the one that intrigued her the most and made her want to find out more. And the winner is:

Christy: “I was thrown out to sea and little did I know I would lose and find myself at the same time, thanks to the whale.”

A $10 Amazon gift card is winging its way to Christy.

*Thank you to Michael Dawes for the use of his whale image.
