I received an e-mail yesterday that one of my Yahoo! answers was picked as "the best" answer to a question about posting book excerpts on a blog (asked by a non-published author).
You probably already know this, but answering Yahoo! questions is one of the easiest ways to 1) get your name out there; and 2) get a backlink to your site from Yahoo!
I’ve received several "your answer was the best" kudos over the past few months–not because I’m a super smarty pants, but because I take the time to actually answer the question, friend-to-friend, as though there was no business involved at all.
I don’t like to spend a lot of my marketing time answering Yahoo! questions, but if I find I have a spare 15 minutes, I’ll surf through and see if there are questions I can answer.
If you want to add Yahoo! answers to your marketing bag-of-tricks, make sure you use the "advanced search" and check the radio button next to: Open Questions – Best answer has not been chosen.
Let me know if you already make Yahoo! answers part of your marketing routine – - I’m interested in your experience.
I find Yahoo answers to be alright but I also find it to be quite spammy.
Well I find yahoo answers interesting, but haven’t tried it for backlinking. It’s a new information for me, I think i will try it, but some times yahoo answers are spammy too. There are several spam answers quite irritating sometimes. But i like your idea, I think it’s best to get a backlink from yahoo answers.
